MEDFORD, Ore. — After a week, police have caught a man they described as “armed and dangerous”. He’s now lodged in the Jackson County Jail.
Medford police say 37-year-old Christopher Devine was wanted on outstanding warrants and has been spotted several times on the north side of town since Tuesday.
On Friday night, Devine was spotted near the storage units on bullock road near the airport. While back up responded to the storage unit where Devine was seen, police say he was able to get out of the perimeter they were establishing.
Officers searched the area, then sent other units toward the area of Walmart and Costco. Eventually they caught up with him and made the arrest without incident.
The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office put warrants out for his arrest for holding a 69-year-old man at knife point on the Bear Creek Greenway. Officers say Tuesday’s victim wasn’t hurt but his cell phone was stolen.
Medford police added, Devine had cut off his tell-tale Mohawk by the time the found him.
