A warm front this afternoon will bring a few more clouds to the area and a chance for showers at the higher elevations, but with high pressure still present temperatures will be even warmer than yesterday! Tomorrow the cold front associated with the warm front today will bring showers to the area, I think most rain will be in the afternoon and evening and we’ll dry out for your weekend. Temperatures very seasonable both Saturday and Sunday and then warm up really begins!
With clearer skies for the end of the weekend we’ll see perfect conditions to view the the celestial version of April showers, the Lyrids meteor shower! The best viewing is ONLY an hour long, between four and five am on Monday morning, but you can start to look for it Sunday night. Monday morning you can see ten to twenty meteors an hour, just look to the southeastern sky near the bright star Vega, near the Milky Way.
High pressure will build in strong next week warming temperatures 15 to almost 20 degrees above normal! That’s thirty degrees warmer than our highs earlier this week! It’s going to be feeling more like the beginning of Summer with abundant sunshine across the region to accompany those warm temperatures. Overnight lows will also be more mild so gardeners and orchardists can breath a little easier.
