BONANZA, Ore. — Two bodies were discovered overnight by a Klamath County Sheriff’s Deputy. The case is being treated as an apparent double homicide.
Investigators have been working through the night, processing evidence on the bodies, found east of Bonanza. Klamath County Sheriff Tim Evinger released a statement, saying the two bodies, both male, were found on ranch property off McCartie Lane, outside in a wooded area on the property.
Sheriff Tim Evinger said the bodies were located by detectives who were assisting patrol on an arson investigation in which a pickup truck was found severely burned-out approximately six miles away on October 6th. The age, race, and identity of the victims is unknown. The cause of death is undetermined at this time.
Klamath County Sheriff Tim Evinger stated the county’s major crime team, in addition to members of police agencies around the country, will be working to solve this case.
