A high pressure ridge will shift further east today which will help to cool temperatures a few degrees this afternoon, mostly in the valleys and northern California. The rest of the region will join in the cooling trend tomorrow and through the weekend as a cut-off low makes it’s way inland. Fall officially starts on Saturday and temperatures will finally return to seasonable.
The drop in temperatures is accompanied by a chance for showers and thunderstorms Sunday with a continued chance into next week for a few more showers. It’s been three months since we’ve seen any significant rainfall and we could use it! Although Fall is just days away, keep fire saftey in mind as fire danger remains at ‘Extreme.’
