High pressure will be the story this week bringing a repeat weather pattern that we saw two weeks ago with sunny, dry weather and record breaking heat likely! Temperatures will climb and peak Wednesday and Thursday for inland areas, and Tuesday and Wednesday for the coast. Onshore flow will return to the coast Thursday bringing marine layer clouds and fog to the coast.
Wednesday and Thursday will bring mid-80s to the east side and low to mid-90s for west side valleys. Records will be tied and likely broken before the week is out in many locations. Highs will remain 10 to 20 degrees above normal into Friday, but Friday also begins the cooling trend with continued cooling into the weekend. A cold front will bring isolated showers to the Cascades Saturday afternoon with a slight chance for the coast and west side valleys of southern Oregon. Sunday will bring a better chance for showers to all areas as the low associated with the front dives south.
