Today we’ll see a break from the storms with a mix of sun and clouds today across the area and breezy conditions at the coast and higher elevations. The break is short lived though, our next strong storm system starts to effect the coast this afternoon and inland areas tonight through tomorrow. We’ll see moderate to heavy rainfall and strong winds back in the forecast. Flood warnings are still in effect for the Coquille River and the Rogue River at Agness as those rivers are still seeing flooding. Rivers, streams and creeks will start to subside today but with more rain coming, the potential for flooding remains. Adding strong winds back into the forecast with saturated ground we have the ability to once again see downed trees, falling and flying debris so once again road travel may be impacted by many factors starting tonight so drive safely and check road conditions before you head out.
Another break from the storms arrives midweek before a much colder system moves through by the end of the week dropping snow levels and bringing rain and snow back into the forecast. This next front won’t produce storms as strong as what we’ve seen thus far, but we’ll see more widespread snow due to the drop in temperatures.
Thanks for logging on and enjoy the break in the storms today! Remember to remain weather aware especially over the next few days. Thanks for logging on and have a great day!
