Many records were broken yesterday across our region, and although today we’ll shave off a few degrees, it’s still going to be hot. Medford, Grants Pass, Mt. Shasta, Brookings and North Bend are all among the cities who broke records from decades ago. North Bend’s record was from over a century ago — 1907.
We’ll still be near 90 today across the West Side but records are not so in reach today. High clouds will be increasing in coverage into the afternoon because of the onshore wind. This will keep skies partly sunny at the Coast throughout the morning, and mostly cloudy by the afternoon. This also is going to keep temperatures much cooler today there.
Friday a cooling trend will begin and temperatures will cool down significantly into the weekend. Showers look to develop across the West Side now Saturday afternoon although they are not looking too impressive. Sunday, there will be a better chance for widespread showers across all locations.
Showers will linger into Monday before another spell of dry weather begins again.
