High pressure continues to dominate the West — bringing dry, inactive and very warm weather. High temperatures broke many records yesterday across the region. Medford, Grants Pass, Ashland, Roseburg, North Bend and Brookings all broke records from 1981, 1998, 1931, & 1958. Montague tied a record yesterday.
Today will be similar to yesterday, but a little cooler at the Coast and a little warmer inland. Again, record high temperatures are anticipated as highs climb into the 80′s & 90′s. The remainder of the week will be dry and mostly clear. A cooling trend will begin Friday and by Saturday, temperatures will be more than 20 degrees cooler than today.
Sunday showers will move in from our west and temperatures will at this point be below normal — in the 50′s and 60′s. Isolated thunderstorms are in the forecast for Monday as next week.
