A popular online game is set to make an appearance at the 10th annual Art Along the Rogue this October.

The event staff have coordinated with an internationally acclaimed painter, Melanie Stimmell Van Latum and the creator of  Angry Birds for a unique 3D art piece.

The 16 by 18 foot painting will be displayed on the side of the historic grants pass Steam Launderette. The image, which is still in design stage, will continue 30 feet into the roadway and will create a 3D life like feel.

Last year’s event brought upwards of seven thousand people to grants pass and this year officials expect to top that tally.

“The popularity of the game itself amongst children, young adults and adults as well will bring people out for a different reason,” said Jeff Jones.

The event kicks off October 6th, but painters will begin the project up to three days in advance.
