Thanks for checking out our new blog Anchor Moms!
You’re used to me reading stories about crime, politics and other news stories. But when I clock out – I’m reading stories of a much different kind – about a mouse that needs milk with his cookie, a caterpillar that can’t get enough to eat and someone who refuses to eat green eggs and ham.
That’s because my other full time job is motherhood! While my laundry piles get a little taller than I like, I like to believe I’m living the best of both worlds.
In the early morning, I go to my dream job. I love news and have wanted to be an anchor since I was in 3rd grade. It is such a privilege to be able to wake you up in the morning with the news that impacts your day and your community.
Here’s the best of both worlds part – because my day starts so early, I get to go home to my adorable toddler in the afternoon. We spend the rest of the day together – trying to get in as many adventures as possible.
Because J is my first child – every day is a learning experience. I’ve leaned on my grandma, mom and friends who are also trying to figure out how to potty train and transition to a toddler bed. I’m hoping this blog can be a one-stop shop where we can learn from each other and from new studies, while staying updated on recalls and other important information for parents!
