ASHLAND, Ore. — Police have released the identity of a suspect accused of intentionally putting mountain bike riders in danger.
57-year-old Jackson Dempsey is accused of placing nails, nylon chord and vegetation on multiple Ashland trails this summer, allegedly because he does not like mountain bikers.
Three bikers sustained minor injuries. Dempsey is a psychiatrist with Jackson County Mental Health. Dempsey is charged with reckless endangerment and fourth-degree assault.
