High pressure will be building in during the day today which will create a valley inversion causing air quality to deteriorate and increasing likelihood of fog. We’ll see patchy fog this morning with more areas seeing fog tomorrow and more fog each night and morning through at least Saturday before the high pressure exits the areas. As long as the high pressure remains in our area so will the inversion and in response to this the National Weather Service has issued an Air Stagnation Alert through Tuesday morning when our next chance for precipitation moves in. Air quality as of this morning is good for most areas but Klamath Falls is already in the ‘Moderate.’ For those with with respiratory problems should limit outdoor activity. You can find current air quality levels in your area under the weather links. Air quality and fog will be the main weather impacts through the weekend.
I’ll be updating my Facebook with weather and air quality reports and always appreciate photos you share with me on my page! Be sure to tune into Newswatch12 at 6 tonight and 6 tomorrow morning for the Ask the Meteorologist questions of the week! Thanks for logging on and have a wonderful Wednesday!
