ASHLAND, Ore. — The Ashland Independent Film Festival will host two special screenings of its 2012 award-winning documentary Ethel on Thursday, December 13th at 5:30 pm and 8:00 pm at the SouthGate Cinema in Grants Pass.
AIFF said this marks their first screening in Grants Pass, and reflects the organization’s mission to extend its programming reach into additional communities in Southern Oregon and Northern California.
Ethel is a feature length documentary about the life of Ethel Kennedy, directed by her Rory Kennedy, the film features candid interviews with Ethel and seven of her children. The film is called a “personal portrait” of Ethel’s political awakening, the life she shared with Robert F. Kennedy, and the years following his death when she raised their eleven children on her own the life she shared with Robert F. Kennedy.
The film’s director will participate in a live Q&A via Skype immediately following each screening.Tickets are available now at catheatres.com or at the SouthGate Cinema box office; $8.50 for general admission and $6.50 for seniors, students and AIFF members.
