Accused Bike Trail Saboteur Charged

ASHLAND, Ore. – A psychiatrist accused of sabotaging mountain-biking trails in Ashland no longer works for Jackson County.

County Administrator Danny Jordan says Jackson Dempsey stopped working for Jackson County Mental Health on October 19. It was not disclosed whether Dempsey quit or if he was let go.

Court records indicate Dempsey is negotiating a plea agreement on reckless endangerment and assault charges. He’s accused of placing nails, nylon cord and vegetation on trails this summer.
