MEDFORD, Ore. — Local non-profits hope to bring the community together to talk about the issue of food in the Rogue Valley. ACCESS is hosting the region food summit on March 8th.
The organization wants to reach out to the community to discuss hunger, nutrition, agriculture, and the availability of local food. They say bringing a diverse set of people to the table can help them improve the local food system in Jackson County.
“If we work on all of those pieces collectively and not just one piece of the puzzle at a time, but sort of the collective as a whole, there’s a lot that we can do as a bigger collective,” said Hannah Ancel, with ACCESS.
Registration to take part in the event is due by March 5. Click here for more information.
