A fast moving storm is moving towards the Southern Oregon Coastline. It will move into the Rogue Valley and Cascades by Midnight and into the Klamath Basin just before Sunrise. Snow will be heavy in the mountains…with snow levels lowering from 3,000 feet tonight to 2,500 feet by midday Thursday. Locally, the snow level could drop to 2,000 feet or a little lower late in the day on Thursday.
Once the storm moves south and eastward, improving weather is expected on Friday and Saturday. Some clouds will linger, with valley fog likely to increase in the Western Valleys through the weekend.
Stronger inversions and more widespread valley fog and low clouds will develop Monday through the middle of next week. Sunshine and warmer temperatures can be expected in the hills and mountains.
