SALEM, Ore. — The presidential race hinges on the outcomes of swing states like Ohio and Wisconsin, but here in Oregon, much is at stake in state and local elections.
For the first time in more than a decade, Republicans have a good chance of winning several statewide offices, as well as control of the House and Senate.
Regardless of the outcome, legislators will face tight budget issues when they head to Salem next year.
