MEDFORD, Ore. — Rescued dogs were wearing the latest in pet fashions and walking the red carpet at the 8th Annual Pet Fashion Show.
The event was held at the Grange Co-Op’s North Medford Pet Country. Fashion show dogs were accompanied on the runway’s red carpet by local residents, grange co-op employees, and animal shelter volunteers. 74 different outfits went down the red carpet on 17 dogs and one cat.
Our own Megan Parry MC’d the event. Besides a fashion show, there was a silent auction and “best dressed” contest. About three to four hundred people came out to watch the show and bid on items.
The event’s goal was 10 thousand dollars, but organizers hope this year’s event will bring in closer to 13 to 14 thousand dollars. Proceeds from the event go to Friends of the Animal Shelter.
