MEDFORD, Ore. — Nearly 30,000 people lined the streets downtown Medford for the Pear Blossom Parade. The parade took place early Saturday afternoon.
More than 150 floats drove through the streets of Medford. Some handed out candy, while others handed out information. People started arriving to mark their spot for the parade hours before it started. For many, the parade was a family event.
“I like to support one of the Head Start that goes through in the parade because I think that is a really good program,” said parade observer Latanya Brand. “I definitely support Head Start and we like the floats… the kids love of course the candy.”
The parade lasted for nearly two hours. Medford Fire and Police were in attendance along with other local organizations.
