Three-Alarm Structure Fire in Talent

TALENT, Ore. — 13 agencies responded to a fire at food-storage facility in Talent on Monday afternoon.

Ammonia was reportedly used at the facility, but no one was evacuated from the area near the structure. Officials say they now have a pretty good hold on the 3rd alarm fire as of 3:41 p.m.

The smoke could be seen from Medford and from I-5. Oregon Department of Transportation says both southbound lanes and one northbound lane on Highway 99 near Suncrest Road, Talent, were re-open after an earlier closure due to the structure fire.
