To mark NewsWatch 12′s 25th anniversary, we are taking a look back into our archives at some of the stories that made major headlines in Southern Oregon and Northern California.

In 2007, a debate swirled around the future of Jackson County Library Services. Jackson County libraries were closed for six months and re-opened under the private management of Library Systems and Services, Inc. for about half the old budget, and much reduced schedules.

Josephine County libraries also closed at the same time, but took almost a year longer to open as a non-profit organization.
