To mark NewsWatch 12’s 25th anniversary, we are taking a look back into our archives at some of the stories that made major headlines in Southern Oregon and Northern California.

In 2004, presidential and vice-presidential candidates from both major parties brought their campaigns to Southern Oregon.

Vice President Dick Cheney visited in July 2004, and Democratic Presidential Candidate John Kerry in August.

Vice Presidential Candidate John Edwards visited in October 2004, followed by a visit from President George W. Bush.
