To mark NewsWatch 12′s 25th anniversary, we are taking a look back into our archives at some of the stories that made major headlines in Southern Oregon and Northern California.

In 2001, a story in the Klamath Basin received national attention. It was the shutoff of water to basin irrigators in the spring of 2001.

It’s an issue that continues to stir controversy with the Klamath Basin Restoration Agreement and similar water shortages again this past summer.
